Watch Description

In 1967, Grand Seiko released the 44GS, a watch that embodied the Grand Seiko Style. Now, 55 years after its debut, SBGW289 is a new limited-edition, manual-winding watch that commemorates that significant historical model. The case measures 36.5mm in diameter and 11.6mm in thickness, and it features a smaller case that has all the unique characteristics that made the original and the modern 44GS such memorable and important designs.

The dial of SBGW289 evokes Sakura-kakushi, or “the hiding of the cherry blossom,” the moment in spring when the cherry blossoms peek through the snow under the sunshine of spring. It is a delicate pink with a silver tone and dynamic texture that plays beautifully with the light.

The movement is assembled by hand by the craftsmen and women of Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. Caliber 9S64 is a mechanical manual-winding caliber with a power reserve of 72 hours and an accuracy rating of -3 to +5 seconds per day.

SBGW289 is a limited edition of 1,200. The words “Limited Edition” and the individual serial number are engraved on the closed case back alongside the Grand Seiko lion.

## Watch Summary
The Grand Seiko Heritage Sakura-kakushi (ref. SBGW295) is an elegant manual-wind dress watch from the esteemed Japanese luxury brand's Heritage collection, featuring a poetic textured dial inspired by cherry blossoms subtly emerging through winter snow with delicate pink and ivory tones, crafted for the refined collector who values artisanal precision and understated beauty, powered by the in-house Caliber 9S64 offering an impressive 72-hour power reserve.

## Overall Watch Rating: 7.7/10.0
